Lowther Show

14th August 2017
The "Glorious 12th" saw my debut at this Country show. We'd set up on the Friday and turned up half an hour before the gates opened and were greeted by torrential heavy downpours. This didn't seem to put visitors off and they were out in the thousands.

Business was slow to start with and by late morning I was getting quite anxious. There was no need to worry, like buses; once one turned up so did a second and a third and so on.

Proving popular again were the big (24"x36") acrylic float panels with a number of orders taken.

The Sunday was a completely different kettle of fish: the weather was glorious to start with and remained dry throughout. Visitor numbers were on a similar scale to the Saturday and though a quieter day for sales, I had a good number of potentially fruitful conversations with customers.

For a good day out in the country, I would strongly recommend Lowther Show: Horse Driving Trials, Hounds by the hundreds and lots to keep everyone entertained. Needless to say I shall be returning in 2018 and look forward to seeing some of you there again.
