Harrogate Autumn Flower Show 2016

22nd September 2016
This was my second visit to Harrogate in 2016 and it was back at the Spring event that this year really took off for Coloured Images; four days after being told I was being made redundant from my full time career, I had a fantastic four day event at Harrogate. Surely that couldn't be bettered?

I went up to Harrogate on the Thursday dressed in shorts and t-shirt for setting up. The weather was glorious and it was good to see some familiar faces amongst the other exhibitors. Friday was a different kettle of fish with some heavy rain before lunch which dampened the numbers attending in the morning. In the afternoon though, numbers picked up and a few sales were made with the panels proving popular yet again.

Well as for Saturday; had my wife not been with me to help out I am sure I would never have coped. The crowds were out in force and the weather was kind to us all. My previous best day for sales was at the Spring event with 15 panels being sold in just one day. Well today we knocked that for six, managing to sell a massive 30 panels. I was completely blown away yet again by your reaction to my work. It was also good to see a number of returning customers adding to their existing collection. I even had one lady and her daughter who announced that they came to see me only. "Surely not, you came to the Flower Show and just came along to see me?" "Absolutely not" was their reply, "we came just to see you and to add to our lovely collection". Humbled indeed.

Sunday was good for footfall and the weather remained kind. There was no way I was ever going to improve upon Saturday's figures but yet again; your reaction was quite overwhelming.

All in all, a fantastic weekend with sales over the the three day event in excess of the four day Spring event.

Thank you one and all.
