Burton Agnes Michaelmas Fair

12th January 2016
The end of October hails the annual Michaelmas Fair at the wonderful Burton Agnes stately home between Driffield and Bridlington. Now a regular attendee at this popular fair I wasn't sure what to expect in 2015 given the economic climate.

The weather was mixed over the weekend and visitor numbers seemed to be significantly down on the previous year, especially on the Saturday. Despite this it was still fairly well attended given the stagnant economic conditions we are all experiencing. The number of stalls was still around fifty with a varied selection local fayre and craft produce.

It was nice to see customers who had purchased my work previously and in turn had recommended me to their friends. The result was very surprising and far exceeded my expectations. I sold the greatest number of pictures compared to any previous show there which when added to the excellent Garden Fair earlier in June totalled around 40 separate pieces.

A huge thanks to you all, especially the couple who bought five chromaluxe panels pictures for their home. As usual there was lots of interest and some wonderful compliments flying around. Thank you all and I look forward to seeing you again in 2016.
