Welcome to Coloured Images. Here you will find a varied collection of images that I have taken over the last few years. My passion for photography started over thirty years ago on my first trip abroad to Kenya. All I could afford then was a basic Russian Zenith and a couple of cheap lenses. Still, they did the job and I still have the slides to show for it. After that trip I didn't pick up a camera for many years, but for no particular reason.

My passion was rekindled with the advent of digital photography and I soon started to build up a varied portfolio that just sat on the computer doing nothing. My father-in-law encouraged me to enter a competition, which I did after much deliberation. To my great surprise my entry actually won first prize; £1000, a full back-page spread in the Yorkshire Post and to this day that winning shot still features on packets and tubs of Yorkshire crisps.

Since then my passion has gone from strength to strength with work published in National photographic journals, local media and a couple of internet publications. I have a number of regional and national photographic competition wins under my belt, with some of the work featured on this site.

I market my work as "photographic art for the home". Essentially I am trying to produce aesthetically pleasing images to adorn your walls. Over the last ten years my work has evolved into three main subject matters: "Recognisable Landscapes", "Generic Scenes" and "Flooded Flowers". The galleries featured on my site are set up in such a way that you can explore each of these themes and will give you a good understanding of my favourite subjects. I'm sure you will recognise there appears to be a common theme of reflections running through some of the galleries; I just can't help myself and am fascinated by Mother Natures creations. Thank you for taking the time to visit my site, I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to leave feedback on individual images or in the guestbook. I look forward to meeting some of you at the various events I attend.

Available image formats:
The most popular format I market is the Gallery Print. The photograph is printed directly on to the back of 2mm thick acrylic glass which is then backed by 3mm thick alu-dibond (an aluminium composite). These are provided with aluminium sub frames for ease of hanging. The quality of the finish of this product has to be seen to be appreciated and is used in many high-end galleries, hence it carries the title Gallery Print.

Canvases are available as a "special order" and are produced using the finest quality stretched canvases around a 38mm softwood frame in various sizes. Please contact me for pricing.

If you are simply wanting conventional prints, these too are available and carry the same turnaround times.

As you go through the images in the galleries, you will see which options are available for each image.
